i received in change a few days ago 3 Washington quarters, all 3 of them 2015-P Nebraska Homestead quarters. one of them turns out to be a doubled die listed on wexler's. these were the best couple pix out of several. you can readily see the doubling in the R2 window pane. last pic a screenshot of wexler's listing. pretty cool.

i was pretty stoked after finding it, lol.. it wasn't so long ago that I found the 023.. great little finds like those keep me scrutinizing every cent I find. I found a '57 wheatie on the ground tonight. a speck of road rash, but so what, eh? i'll post that pic on found money thread.

Today I found my first coin that ended a 224 year streak. Yes I found a 2017 P cent. In order for them to break the 224 consecutive year streak they will need to mint cents until 2243 without a mint mark on the one cent coins and I do not see that happening since by then I believe there will be no need for coins or even paper money.

Quote:Nice. Well it was. It was the first time in their history that they ever put a mintmark on the one cent coin.

still shaking my head over this. last night I received in change both of these coins. the first is one of two 2015-P nebraska homestead quarters that came my way last night. the other was picked off the pavement, will post that one on the found money thread later. anyway, this homestead quarter turns out to be a doubled die variety listed on wexler's. the wexler's listing pic is at the bottom. in the same handful of change I got this little beauty: I'm shaking my head because I've lost count of all the very old wheaties that have come my way recently, and now- suddenly- I'm finding all these nebraska homestead doubled die quarters. the other quarter (the one i'll post later in found money thread) is the very same WDDR-007. what are the odds? lol.. it's what keeps me looking... I'm lovin' all the old wheaties. in recent weeks & months I've found a 1916, '17, '18, '19-S, '25, '35-S, '36, '38, '39, and numerous others from the 40s & 50s. all either received in change or picked off the ground.

Mr. Pink, have you been going through "grandpa's attic"? Next thing we know, you are going to post a 1776 coin!

i can't explain it other than just great luck. I'm thinking I'm going to start a Lincoln Wheat cent folder & fill it with just finds from circulation and ground-scores. I'm glad I have somewhere to post pix & share the finds.
