Our daughter in 1971.
So, I am constantly putting away circulating coins with 1967, 1971, and 1973 dates.

I might add that we have six grandkids, and each has a large can in my office with their name on it.
When I have the time I look closely at my change, and when I find a coin in good shape, it goes into the proper can.
Both kids and grandkids may not fully appreciate the coins at this time, but when they reach my age they will be happy to have the coins.

A freind returned from the US last week and brought home some Statehood Quarters which included two 2007 ones. Back home I found a 1989 $1 coin that where only found in mint sets  |

I got a dollar bill the other day from a gas station. serial number is E44440440B. All 4's and 0's. Thought that was kind of cool.

This kinda fits in here. I went to the credit union last friday and asked for two rolls of quarters for the laundromat. When I opened the first roll out spilled several nice shiny ones. When I looked closer it was a whole roll of Washington State Quarters. |

Today in change I got my first Vancouver Winter Games 25 cent from circulation (curling) and a US Bicentennial quarter.  |

I think many of us in the United States are used to finding pennies (cents) tossed down in the parking lots. However, yesterday I found two nickels -- a 2005 and a 2006. Both bright and shiny.

Bonanza Day! Two coins, both about the size of a U.S. Nickel. One seems to be Italian. Probably aluminum, with "5" and what looks like a whale on the reverse. 1954. The other is One Penny from Gibraltar. 1992. On the reverse is "1" and a bird of some sort.  |
