Found a 1978P Penny in the parking lot at work today. Sadly, it looks like a truck ran it over so the rev is kind of rough, obv is good. What set this penny find apart is the toning on the coin, it's REALLY cool....I need to get a pic of it after acetone cleaning.

I found two Indian Head pennies under the Coin Star machine today. One is 1864 and the other is an 1881. I'm not sure what variety the 1864 is.

Question: what were you doing under the CoinStar Machine, kestrelia? I would think a manager would be cautious of someone poking around a machine that contains potentially thousands of dollars.

I wish there was a way to be a third party in the coin star and other such machines. Think of the thousands of coins you could look over before turning them in.
If I had a retail store or such I'd set up one of those machines and cut the charge rate in 1/2.

Finally got around to looking through some change today that had been accumulating. Found a whole bunch of State Quarters I needed, which isn't anything really fun, but I did find some fun Jefferson nickels: 1968-S, 1970-S, and 1939!! Good times... I still have pennies to look through, but that will have to be another day. |

I'd crawl under there for Indian Head cents too, but I usually let me son look under all the vending machines as I feel eyes staring at me strangley if I ever do it. If I ever do look, I usually act like I dropped some change and am trying to get it back. PS. You'd be surprised at how much change my son finds by checking coin returns and underneath vending machines in general. |
