Interesting Find From Circulation

It took me a while but I got my first 2006 CDN Medal of Bravery 25 cent in change today.

Not real great but a 2007p nickel(my first) and a unc. 2006 north dacta quarter.

I went through 20 rolls of 2007 nickels direct from the Fed and only found FOUR that didn't have some type of clash mark to deep scratches/gashes. They all looked great in hand but under the glass they were not as impressive. I also went through 10 penny rolls and got 4 Canadian and 4 wheaties with the oldest being a 1919.

If I remember correctly, I was going through my moms change jar and found a 1960 quarter. The next day I got a 1951 dime at the wawa down the street while buying gum.Weeks later I found a 1951 silver canadian dime(whats up with 1951?)in my moms change at target.Sadly I never found silver ever since then. that was a year and a half ago.Still great finds.And a month ago I was helping my mom in the snack stand at my brothers game and found in the change box 1 1957 penny, 1960D 1963D nickels,1 uncirculated connetticut quarter, 1 unc. 2000P Sac. dollar and 4 consecuative unc. $2 bills unfortinately I had to replace the change I took.

Went to bank #2 for rolls yesterday. (I visit two different banks weekly for rolls). They have set aside the foreign coins that have been sorted out of their change (I didn't ask specifics), and gave me a little bag with about 15 or so coins in it, and wouldn't take anything for it. They told me they would normally throw them out, but decided to hang onto them for me. So this week's haul includes a couple of coins from Panama, a German 2 Mark, a couple of Indian Rupees, a couple of Thai Baht, and some Arabic coin I haven't had time to identify yet, and a few others. The best part is, I don't even have a bank account with this bank! (Well, I might soon, if they are going to treat me this well!)

I went to the bank today just to get a little cash. I started counting the money and always check each note to see if I have anything interesting. Well I found 1 $20 star note, then looked at the next one and another $20 star note. Put a nice smile on my face. They are both 2004 in circulated condition but are keepers for me. The one has a number of 00235899. Not close to the lowest number I've found but just something to make my day.

I stopped in the gas station to get a couple lottery tickets on Friday. The guy told me he had gotten a Canidian dollar, and didn't notice it until it was too late. I said I would take it, and he gave it to me. Wouldn't even take a buck from me. It was a 2004 Loonie, gold in color, with the Olympic logo no the back of it. Is this something special or are they common?
