The new system is smarter than the old one - creating a new account or checking out as a guest doesn't work as the system will recognize your billing address (just tried for the fun of it). Of course, if you have more than one billing address or ask your neighbor/friend/colleague etc. to place an order for you the household limit becomes the usual joke...
Too little too late? We'll see how long it will take to sell the remaining 10k sets - if they're still there come tomorrow evening this set won't go anywhere.

Thanks for the heads up I was taking my lunch break & as always I check the posting for up dates the sec I read about it I order another set. Today is a good day for me not only was I able to place a order but my cc set I order on the 3rd just arrive today!!😱😱😱

The old system also relied on "household" as limit criteria not account names...but the friend thing has worked for me a few times.  Re: previous orders...as posted on the previous page the Mint has stated that all previous orders (before 12/8) will be honored. Of course, everything with the Mint is subject to change. I had ordered 4 sets on the 4th. And one more set yesterday. It now shows my order from yesterday has been shipped, but my 12/4 order is still "on hold". I called the mint and he verified yesterdays order has been shipped, and the previous order is being processed and will be shipped either today or tomorrow. So even though the website still shows "back order", they are in stock and being shipped.

Funnily enough none of my sets ordered on Dec04 have shipped - still 'on hold'.
The set is still available...

To sum it up - the US Mint is utterly clueless...
They need a few numismatists in their board of directors, or replace the ones who are there with a few more attached to reality.

I ordered my sets yesterday, the order stated 'Back Ordered' and this morning I received a tracking# with my sets on their way.
Past experiences with the Mint meant you had to wait weeks or months for back-ordered items.
BTW: the Back Order button is still on the webpage, so get your sets while you can.
