They could sell these things for the next 6 months if they wanted or had to. I can't figure why they would stop at 15k and eliminate 35k potential sales
Still don't believe that they are sold out....even though my eyes are telling me differently

I would be very surprised if this set is done. I'm sure we will see more of these for sale soon.

Actually that pattern seems to be normal these days. The mint estimates the initial surge of orders and creates about that many for the release date. It can be 15K 50K 180K whatever. As those get close to being sold off, they schedule additional production (which may have lags due to a need to source packaging, schedule time on the presses, prepare additional dies, etc.). It's just that things get constrained around the end of the year, when the calendar limit becomes an additional constraint.

Was just refreshing the product details page about an hour ago and this changed from Out of Stock to Backorder status - it now allows you to place new orders with expected in-stock date of December 8. Cheers to everyone who missed this one with the initial 15K sets. Also FYI - if you can't find this product anymore, they hid it under Coin Programs > Native American $1 Coins.

Agree with TVG, I just placed my order since I missed out on the first couple days. Also threw in another JFK uncirculated set to hold onto another one for the future. I doubt the prices for the C&C set will stay the same now on ebay (approx. $30/set) but hopefully if there is a sell out I can sell some in order to at least get one free set. Good luck to all!

Just got the order confirmed email. I was lucky enough to get in for 5 sets in the initial run but kicked myself for not going in for more once it sold out. At a net cost of $13 per set (if you spend the dollar) and free shipping I don't see a downside to these, especially if they have to cut the run short being so close to 2015. Like Mr. Kairu, I'd also expect a firesale of these on ebay as the speculators hear they're becoming available again and go out for one last quick flip of in-hand sets. I'm more for long-term holding - even at 50K sets, it's still a very low mintage for a very unique finish sac.

Well now that I didn't pass up this time I hope they are completely sold out. That way I can sell one to basically pay for the other! :D We shall see.

That didn't take long. I missed the window. I wonder if they sold the rest of the 36 K or just took orders for another batch? I'm sure the big boys were waiting for this and bought them out. Won't be long before the flood of slabs hit the market.

Does this mean I can submit my coins (from the initial 15K minted) to PCGS or NGC and get a "First Strike" designation for them?

@SkyShark, according to one person who called PCGS on MintNewsBlog, he was told by CS rep that PCGS will not be adding any First Strike labels or have any special labels for the EU Sac dollar. Apparently they aren't elaborating why as of yet either.

...and I read that another poster said they told him they WOULD be offering FS..no special label.just the normal flag..just put out a freakin notice either way...it's not rocket science...PCGS is really lagging behind on this one. Decision should have been made a week ago...
