Picked this up because I thought the very broadly repunched mintmark was pretty cool. The seller called it "RPM-001" which I presume is not a complete description. Anyone know what the correct designation should be?

Any idea what kind of premium if any it should bring over an ordinary 1941-S?

Thanks!

How much did YOU pay over an ordinary 1941-S?
That would be the premium.

Unfortunately and although not common, not a real large value on RPM's in the Mercury dime series. Not sure why, but just not something sellable for massive profit. Maybe on ebay, otherwise, not sure where you could sell.

These generally bring between 15 and 20 bucks on ebay in this grade. Petty decent premium for a silver coin typically worth only it's own silver content. If you can turn a 2 dollar coin over for 20 dollars, thats a pretty good deal in my book. I just discovered a new RPM 10 cent and had it listed in the Wexler files as 1945 s/s WRPM-008/WIMM-008. Its neat. It has a dual variety. It is an inverted S over S so it is listed in the files twice, once as and RPM (repunched mint mark)and once as an IMM (inverted mint mark).

I think this variety is common with lesser grade, only AU and higher bring premium and those aren't close to the CherryPikcers guide.
