Holy Toledo Jack!

two silver dollars for melt silver alone would run $12, much less an uncirc morgan worth $30+
You've bought an intercept shield for this one, correct? That rim toning is attractive now, but won't be forever, if kept in the current holder, as metalman says...

HAHA! Thanks William. It was a good deal! I will see if I can find the invoice from the purchase to make sure my memory serves me. Sorry, I am not sure what an intercept shield is? If it is a coin protector like I assume I did take it out of the bank case and put it in an air tight type holder.

I was off a little bit but still a great buy! She threw in the extra Kennedy half dollars when she shipped it. Check it out! Here is the auction link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...862959&fvi=1

I know the coin looks bad pictured in the auction but I assure you it is the same coin. It is amazing to see the difference between a scan and a picture from a camera. The camera flash catches all the glare on the coin and the plastic case. The flash also reflects off all the scratches on the case. Scanning is so much better!

The 1925 Peace dollar has a deep mirror finish but I scratched the surface trying to remove the tape residue with acetone and a q-tip.

The rim toning on that Morgan is very cool and desirable -- looks like a Redfield Morgan -- and it is NOT "damaged". However, you may want to put it in another holder to keep it from toning darker. Whatever you do, do not clean or dip the coin!

As for grade, probably 63, shot 64. Nice coin!
