Hello,

This is a quick heads-up, as a fraud is in preparation.
Please avoid at all price the ebay seller numis_coinmex.
That guy has been selling more or less obvious fakes (obvious = morellos 4 reales, which were never minted for example).
He is now on another project, now that he has a long lasting account with average ranks : he is selling coins he don't own.

Here are some samples :

-> http://usmex.org (wait a bit, it's the 7th coin or something like that)

Those Goldberg listings are closed, so how do you know it's fraud?

The physical locations and current ownership of some of the coins on offer are known. He is not the owner of the coins pictured.

Wow ... when I asked him the edge of a cast 8R Morelos he did say plain ... avoid plain edges on this issue - they say --- serrated - hand done is preferred ...

I knew something was up and it seems he may have an accomplice bidding up these pieces to simulate real interest. Too many nice WOI pieces with low starting prices ... no way ... I did suggest this guy already with these perfect WOI counterstamps ... just can't be ... even if from Durango ...

Only JPL is crazy enough to sell a General Vargas with a $300 reserve ... LOL ... but not at this guy ... he is dangerous!

bobby131313 : there is no way he own those two millenium collection coins - the Vargas one sold for over 10 000 USD, is the scarcest of the type - and is known to be somewhere else.
Same for the one on USMEX, the owner is known and not willing to sell.
That guy used to sell fakes, some easy some harder ... that was already an issue ... but he is no going a step further before ending his account.
Strangely, the picture he own have a nice picture style - unlike the ones he don't own (which mostly come from public pictures / archives).

Well, apparently ebay has not reacted to the several people alerting them.
Let's see how it plays out. I only hope it's them who lose out and not the poor fool with the highest bid (if it's not a crony of the seller anyway...)
