Agree that it is an S/S. You also have distinct doubling on the lower right inside of the first 8 that you should be able to find. Fortunately, the doubling on both the date and mint mark are clear and not wiped out by Strike Doubling that plagues this date. Even better is that VAMWorld has an additional page for 1881-S that sorts the varieties by reverse type. I took a look through the possibilities, and VAM 79 seems to be the only one that matches the date. The picture on the VAM 13 VAMWorld page also looks like it could be VAM 79, as the doubling on the first 8 matches VAM 79 and is not mentioned in the official specification for VAM 13. To confirm it is VAM 79, I'd check the die marker mentioned, which is a short diagonal polishing line at top curl above eye. Unfortunately, no picture of that on VAMWorld.
