We will need full photos of the Obverse and Reverse of the 78-CC dollar in question as ever Morgan and Peace dollar are VAMs. 1878-CC has more than 30 different VAMs.

but this 1878 cc has the right c touching the wreath and the only VAM known with this feature is the VAM 6. but the VAM 6 has doubling on obverse and this one has no obverse doubling. and it is in the hard gsa case.
Rest in Peace

thank you dave700x, you are the VAM man took a closer look at the carson and there was the line in the nose and eye. just wonder how rare is the vam-17 in a gsa holder. I thank you for the info and I hope I am able to help another member too.

VAM 17 is not one of the rare ones, and is just as likely to be in a GSA holder as any of the others.
