I'd like to buy a 1921 D VAM 1R and I'd like to know how much rare is the 1921 and what would be a fair price for purchase in a MS condition (maybe MS60 â€" MS62).

Some of 1921 morgans have very nice die cracks and are very interesting to "study" even if so difficult.

Thanks

1R is a reasonably common variety which really shouldn't carry much premium in lower MS grade. With that said, you're unlikely to find one for sale attributed. 1921 VAMs just don't attract enough attention to warrant any kind of retail concentration. You're probably stuck cherrypicking one off ebay.

Thanks for your precious information. The 1921 d VAM 1R that I'm looking to buy is not attributed, maybe if the price dosen't rise too much i'll try to get it.
My last pick (also this not attributed so cherrypicked) was a 1921 d 1CP in ms grade and maybe yuo are right saying that 1921 morgans don't attract enough attention but these have very nice die cracks and it's very fun to try to attribute the exact VAM number.

Because they made so many that year, they over used the life of the dies. So if you can find the R-1 in MS, snag it up if it has good details on the wreath.
