paid more than I usually do for large cents for this one. Liked the surfaces and color of it. G4 or so? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1803-1C-S-2...p=true&rt=nc

Obverse 3, reverse 6, so net to 4. (IMO).

Appears to be problem free though. The color of a normal old penny.

I'm at G4+.
Appears to be original color. This is a perfect example of "good" copper.

G4 sounds good to me. It's difficult to find one without corrosion etc so - good find.

EAC grade? G5 I like this coin a lot, nothing really stands out as obvious damage, just honest old wear and decent color.

G4 in my book.
You might have paid a little on the high end for it.
However, for a problem free large cent, with nice even wear, I might consider holding onto it too.

I would not have gone as high for a more common variety of 1803 but since this is the stemless variety I pulled the trigger. Numismedia lists full retail for common variety as $80. The setmless is listed at $95.
