It's 2 people who bought all of the coins... How stupid can they get? And $1k for a 1921 not even in high MS condition? They were really stupid and/or misinformed.

What you just saw was one or two savvy collectors with throwaway accounts overbid every coin, win the auctions and leave immediate Negative feedback. If ebay won't police their own members....
