Bought this today, and have no idea if I threw money away or not. Not very expensive so I thought what the heck. What do you guys think about it.

It depends on how much you paid, but I personally would stay away from details coins if they're common year/mints.
Rest in Peace

Wish we had bigger blown up photos to look at . From the little that I see it doesn't look that bad . Like Druu says, it depends on what you paid for it . Don't be surprised if other members advise you to crack it out and just put it in a 2x2 or Album .

Unfortunately $32 is high for a common date details WL.

You didn't lose an arm or leg over it so if you like it that's all that matters. If you don't, you could always resell it.

Honestly ... it's a common coin that has been damaged and worth (to me) silver melt value.

At $32 you overpaid by quite a bit IMHO ... curious what 'chance' you wished to take?

If you can return it, I would. It's not worth much over melt to me -- granted, it's in better condition than many "junk bin" Walkers, it's still a details coin. If you were unscrupulous, you could crack it out and try to sell it as a "toned" coin.

Might I make a suggestion to you? Aim to gain a bit more knowledge before you aim to acquire coins. Maybe I'm cheap, maybe I'm smart -- but nothing I buy is worth less than what I pay. A little bit of cherrypicking is fun, and the folks here will definitely have some good advice for you. I don't mean to be patronizing, but I see you getting burned on the "dirt cheap" "Morgans" as well. If it's too good to be true, it often is.

The holder says 'details' due to questionable color, but it looks like a nice coin. I have some similarly toned coins that spent their life in little 2x2 yellow envelopes, and I know that those are toned naturally. Sometimes (not always) it can be very difficult to distinguish natural vs. artificial toning. To me, this one looks ok, though perhaps I can't see something. All that said, you overpaid for this coin being in a details holder, but the price might be ok if you saw this coin raw at a coin show and you liked the toning.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm not worried about spending money, however I get bored and just buy. Its kinda my down fall. The Morgan seller did email me and I am getting a refund so lesson learned. I'm a collector and not very good apparently. I only have about 1,000 coins some are great and some just cause "I" liked them. I buy to much with my heart and eye not my brain.

As the trite cliche says, "Buy the book before you buy the coin."

Yet still a decent coin for an Album. If it were mine, I'd dip it in Acetone and them place in an Album.
