Thanks! I love unusual old coins. Only have a couple old ones. I also have a very nice condition 1896 penny. Found by chance.

Yup, Matron Head Large Cent minted from 1816-1839. Your coin has unfortunately has been cleaned quite harshly and has some PMD. Still a nice keepsake especially if given by a loved one ;-)

 VF condition. Appears to have been harshly cleaned at some point and has some damage too. Nice keepsake but not too much collectable value in this condition.
