Today at the cafeteria in my office building I noticed a star note in the tip jar. After asking the cashier if I could trade for dollar, it turned out that there were 3 star notes, two of which were sequential and the 3rd one digit off. They are crisp but unfortunately they got kind of mangled as they were stuffed in the jar. Anyway, while these aren't particularly special, it's always nice to find star notes in the wild and it was fun educating the cashier on what a star note is.

I found 3 in my wife's wallet a few years ago and as a point I immediately posted on ebay and flipped $3 to 7 or 8. They were 3 consecutive and in nice shape, not perfect.

IMHO, being they are not low SN's and kinda crumpled I would spend them.

@John1 - yeah, I'm with you there. But it's only 3 bucks. I think I'll hang on to them and save them for a rainy day. Or a secret Santa.
