Hey,

Do you good people have any recommendations / insights on where it's best to auction off very rare US currency that should bring in $20,000+? It seems that Stack's Bowers and Heritage are the main players. Any thoughts on these two? Both have very positive and very negative feedback / stories posted online. (Heritage seems to have more negative feedback posted online, but then again it's a much bigger operation.) Are there other good options?

Heritage is a big outfit and has a huge customer base but they might seem to be a little bit impersonal.

Lyn Knight knows the currency auction business inside and out and would make sure your notes get the right venue.

The biggest key to getting the biggest result is placing your notes in front of the right bidders. Exposure to the right audience is huge.

I have never "sold" via an auction but my one and only experience buying at one of those you have listed was with Heritage and I wasn't impressed with them at all. Maybe it was just a bad day?

I once inquired regarding selling some currency at Lyn Knight, and was told he would call me back. He never did.
