I've prided myself in being able to track down dozens of world coins but this one has me stuck. Any ideas?

I should add, it is about 30mm across.

Thanks kindly,
Patrick

It's Turkish, from the earliest series of the post-Ottoman republic, before they started using the Western alphabet. 25 kurus, 1928, KM 837.

I was going to guess Turkish, based on the star and crescent, but the lack of a western alphabet threw me off. I should have stuck with it!

Much thanks! The condition and $2 price at the local coin ship had me convinced it wasn't that old (despite the 1928 date) so I didn't even consider Turkey. Looking at my Turkey coins, 12/12 have the same crescent & star- even their flag has it... I should have known!
