Can't recall a continuos semi-colon LCM counterstamp in any previous auction?

It certainly looks bad to me. The stamps look suspiciously like the ones used by Jose Luis Gonzalez in his fake book "Catalogo Marcas, Resellos y Contramarcas ...". They appear to all be the same age and none of the three looks genuine at all.

Is the coin also fake? Possibly but more information is needed to make a good review.

I was sold by someone I know who was likely fooled by the coin. He is an honest guy and I would presume that he would refund the price as soon as the coin is declared bogus by a TPG.

Like Max Keech of the Mexican Coin Company as he cited in his War of Independence MNA CD talk I have recorded (19) different he (18) at the time of LCM's. Only ONE has a semi-colon in the stamp from my research of past auctions or reference books this one being the Pradeau Plate Coin Plate XX #10 on a 1811 Zacatecas LVO 2R. The counterstamp reading with just an ending semi-colon = (LCM:). BTW with the (19) I recorded some without pictures but just mm measurements its the ONLY ONE with a semi-colon and with that ending semi-colon (LCM:).

Anything is possible ... but this then would be one added to the population ... but in a multi- counterstamp ... it seems unlikely?

That coin seems to be a joke, particularly when you see the first stamp applied to it.

All c/m's are modern fakes. Any WFI countermark over a normal Mo portrait coin is likely a modern fake.

Carlos - seen the new MCC article by Max ... yes actually (17) LCM's by Max (correction) and (18?) by my research ... yes rules are rules ... I guess its old age and being the new WFI kid on the block ... some pieces take time to sink in ... weird ... a non-cast host ... GEE ... what a revelation ... LOL. Should I use WFI or WOI? HA! HA! HA!

Same talk at NYITL as in Phoenix or something new?
