ok fellow, at your request in an other post, here is the obverse of my One of a kind known outside the museum. Please, before I show you the reverse, try and guess what it could be. also, please try and grade it, like this side first and the other later. please try hard...Those who actually have seen it....please let others guess first. apparently it is listed in the new Charlton but it says "institutional only" or something like that.

hey is it a 1906 to 1909 most likely 1908 newfoundland government cash note? Eighty cents? and it looks to be a VG-8 or VG-10. let me know if I am correct in a private message.

i don't know about you guys but I don't know anything about a institutional note, or anything like that! but my final is a 1908 for being the date! I don't have a 2014 or 2015 charlton book yet.

Oh boy a guessing game ................... NF3d 50 cents 1904, NF3i 50 cents 1909, or NF4h or I 80 cents of 1908 or 1909. Source p.15 provincial notes of Newfoundland 2014 26th edition CGPM R.J. Graham, editor. These are the only "institutional notes" listed, so I think it has to be one of these.

you guys sure know your notes... I believe it was the first time listed in the newest Charlton. However, I have not seen it myself. There is only one other at the museum in a lower grade.

After seeing the front, I will change my grade from a VG to a F.

Still a VG-10 for me, the obverse seems to have too many folds and creases... I believe that you originally said that for those that already know what it is then keep shut. Well I didn't know, any more than anyone else.

I believe the grade to be F-12... all the edges are intact.. no rips tears and it doesn't look like there are any pinholes either...
Certainly an interesting note and with some fantasitis history... If you ever care to share how you aquire such fantastic items feel free to send me a PM... I would love to learn.
