Large-Cent---PCGS-Slab-Question

Does this look right? Is this a pink slab or just the way the picture came out? Thanks!

I would assume that the white balance is off and the pink you are seeing is a shadow.

Thanks Guys! The seller seems very legit, but as many coins as I have looked at on ebay I have never seen what looked like a pink slab. I appreciate your responses.

But remember, the pinkish cast applies to EVERYTHING including the coin, which is also too pink. This is just a quick hack-job using Paint.Net autolevel, but ... some cause for concern:

Large-Cent---PCGS-Slab-Question

It's still not right, but the label color is closer... makes me wonder how dark the coin will be in-hand

Image needs to be done with a dark, non-reflective background.
The reflection from the white background results in bad camera settings.
You want the camera to see the coin as the brightest object, not the background.

If this is on ebay, I'd worry a bit. Nothing to loose by just not buying.

Thanks again guys. I truly appreciate your time and expertise. $900 is a lot for me to bid on a coin sight unseen with no returns (since it is slabbed) and I don't want to make a $900 mistake. Here is the auction link:

Still not perfect, but a little more accurate.

It's probably a bit darker in hand.

I have a little trouble based on that photo, to call this coin MS.

That sure looks like wear around the eye and on the cheek. And what's going on with the "RTY"?

I find it pretty hard to believe that it's MS.
