I have a 1928 half penny which I initially assumed had been shoved in a vice and 'cracked' but on closer inspection it appears the edge of the M of OMN is actually present in that huge crack on the obverse.

There's some edge damage between the a A & the L but only on the reverse and you would think if this coin was cracked in a clamp the split in the coin would be on the opposite side?

Blank error.
Caused by a small air or liquid bubble in the strip, stretched out as the strip was rolled to thickness.

Thanks Sel

If I were to sell this how would I describe this error, a quick search on ebay for blank error brings up something entirely different!
