Pardon the link, it's easier than dealing with the photos at 5am. I know it looks beat up, but I liked the crisp original look and luster.

Great price for an AU 80-O. I think it's about an AU53 or maybe 55.

Notice the mint mark placement. This should be fairly easy to identify the VAM when you get it in hand.

I'd grade it AU-55.

I'd give it a baggy MS grade (-61 or -62).

Yeah, there's only 29 possibilities with that mint mark, 12 of which have no picture of the MM.

I would really want to see this one in-hand. It may well be a very baggy Mint State. If all I had were the images, though, I'd call it AU55, downgraded from AU58 technical grade for poor eye appeal.
Rest in Peace

True, based on medium O varieties alone, but it narrows down to about 5 with the mint mark set that far left.

Thanks for the help. Will definitely have to research the VAM when I get it.

Brings it down to about 4, I think - 2, 51, 58 & 66.

I think it is either AU 58 or MS 60. It looks like it's missing luster.

AU53, in my opinion. Definitely not a mint-state coin.

I would say AU58.
However, because of the poor eye appeal, I would drop it to a AU53.

I received the coin and it looks really decent. The cheek is amazingly free of any big digs. I've seen MS63 cheeks that look worse. But I think you guys are right about it being AU. Anyway.....I checked out the 4 VAM possibilities, and it doesn't appear to be a VAM. There is no date doubling. Is it possible that the O could just be a bit left without it being a VAM?
