Hey Jefferson variety lovers - I know this is not the BIG 1943P DDO doubled eye but does this looked like the eye is doubled to the west?

I think I see MD on the outside edge of the bust on the lower devices. So it maybe MD on the eye also? I just checked and didn't see anything like this listed in the Jefferson doubled die book for that year. Are the outside of the devices on motto showing this as well in the same direction?
Rest in Peace

What year is this coin? I see the MD along the nose & mouth, but that eye looks rounded. I have seen some pretty tricky MD, and coop knows a ton more than I do.

I was thinking it was a 1943-P. But comparing a normal eyelid with your coin, the overall size of the eye is the same. Maybe some machine damage from ejecting the coin affected the eye and the jaw area? Here is a side by side:

Note how the gap between the eye and bridge of the nose are the same distance and the MD area mad the lid raise in the affected area? If this were hub doubling, then it would have been enlarged and not reduced by MD.

The blue one from Wexler and Ribar. The one is helpful to identify different types of doubling, but the bad part is that is not a complete list.

That is what I was thinking. The anomaly does appear to be rounded. And yes it is a 1943P. I do not have the coin in hand and I am not super familiar with the minor details of Jeffersons. So, I wasn't sure if this anomaly was just part of the normal design and not an anomaly at all. Thanks everyone for your input.
