Long story short... Picked up 3 worn $2 bills from bank of America yesterday. I've never seen 1 so worn. Dunkin donuts guy told me 1 of the 2 I was using this morning was fake because coloring in corners. Is he correct? And if so, am I out $2 or will bank take it back? He seemed to imply that he's seen this before and banks let them slide through as he wasn't calling FBI on me.

He's full of it. That is just a highly worn bill that someone probably spilt their dunkin donuts coffee on!

Bank tellers would NEVER turn a counterfeit bill back into circulation...and are MUCH better trained to spot them than a Dunkin Donuts employee I know as when I was much younger I worked at a bank for a few years. I can still spot them and very quickly.

Your guy sounds full of it. You sure he knows that $ bills are real? Sounds like a sarcastic question..but seriously a lot of people have never seen one.

It looked legit to me besides being really worn. Figured he wasn't an expert.--just try to not discount knowledge because it's coming from a drive line at dunks. He did seem to have a little sparkle when--handed him the $2 bills, so thought maybe he was a collector.

The bank teller did do a double take look at them before handing them to me and said are you sure you want these.--thought maybe they were older because of the condition and it's always fun to spend them regardless.

You have a well worn, genuine $2 bill.
The donut guy has been eating too many donuts and it has affected his thought processes.

The guy just didn't want to accept the bill. Maybe cause he didn't have a spot in his draw or somthing.

Real note btw once u leave the bank thats it u can't come back and say it's fake and expect to get exchange it. What will happen is the teller will take it from u and make u fill out form and explain what happen then they'll ship the fake note & form to the secrect service then after a long investigation they will replace the note I know this because I wrk for a bank & so far I fill out and ship, fake notes to the secrect service a crap load of times. An other thing bank teller will give u a counterfeit bill because if they didn't catch it and later found out they accept a counterfeit bill they will be short that money from their till & take a loss so to avoid being in trouble with there manager they will give it out so always check your bills before u leave the teller window

It's genuine, but been through heck and back. Nice to see a $2 bill that has done its job.
