The 2015 Burundi 1 Troy Oz .999 Fine Silver African Lion 5000 Francs Coin is the first coin issued in the new ModernCoinMart (MCM) exclusive "African Lion" coin series. The focus of this freshly launched lion coin series will be on the African lion. Every year a new coin with a different design will be issued, but the main focus will remain on the African lion. Be sure to get more information here: http://newcoinreleases.com/african-...francs-coin/

Is this coin legal tender? Or is it a coin that is designed only for sale at Modern Coin Mart?

It would be odd if MCM were to sell legal tender and for the country to circulate the coin.

Hidalgo: Those are not mutually exclusive categories, and I think most people here would say that for something to be a coin it MUST be legal tender. Otherwise it would just be a round or a token.
