I recently purchased a lot of V nickels and this lowball was included. I have my guess on the date, but I'm not 100% sure, I want to see what date you guys come up with. I think this photo gives the best angle but if more are needed I will happily oblige. Thanks!

1893 or 1883, could be 9 (2/3) or a worn 8 (1/3)

Thank you for your replies and help. I have it labeled as 1893, but being so worn, I wanted to confirm it.

If it doesn't have the "cents" on the reverse then it's an 1883, but I'm seeing 1893 also, don't think it's a 1903 the top of the 2nd numeral looks more like an 8 shape than the 9.

Since 1603 or 1503 is not possible, I too will go with 1893.
