Hey CCF! It's that time of year again! The time to give and be thankful around the holiday season. Were you giving any coins or other numismatically related presents for your loved ones? Here's what I'll be giving:

To my friend Tom (a US/world coin collector):

1943 Mercury dime in BU
1964 Roosevelt dime in AU
1924-S Mercury dime in G
1926 Standing Liberty quarter in AG
1943 Walking Liberty half in VG
1988 Britain Penny
2002 Ireland 10 Euro Cent
2008 France 2 Euro Cent

To Ronan, Tom's younger brother (a note collector):

Series 1953-A $2 bill (red seal)
Series 1976 $2 bill
Series 1935-E $1 bill (silver certificate)
Taiwan $100 bill

To my friend Colin (a casual collector/accumulator):

2 1955 wheat cents in VF
1915 Barber quarter in F
1916 Barber dime in F
Constantinian Era AE3 (Horseman spearing barbarian)
Unknown Ancient/Medieval small AE

To my APUSH teacher (not a collector, loves history):

1877 Seated quarter in VF

For non-numismatic gifts, I'll be giving out Milky Way bars and iTunes gift cards, just generally spreading holiday cheer this week (my Santa hat is ready). What about you?

Sounds like a real lucky US history teacher!

I scooped up a couple of PCGS MS63 Morgans and a PCGS ms64 32-D Wheat cent for my father, and some 2014 Silver Eagles to throw in to gift baskets I made up for some contractors that work for me...

I sent a Christmas silver sixpence and 2014 Scotland 1 pound floral silver coin to my goddaughter in Cornwall, England. Her mum put it away with her other precious items.

I gave my dad a 1929 D Walker for Christmas (we celebrated it early). It was one of three he still needed.

I also sent coins to my Secret Santee.

I also gave a coin to my history teacher! I'm in IB HOTA rather than APUSH though. Gave an 1865 2 cent in G-06. Interesting how we're learning about sectionalism right now, around the same era!

Sounds like a great gift! I wanted to give him a coin from the time period we're learning about right now, the Gilded Age. My history teacher is a great guy, so I decided his Christmas gift should be something special.

I always like to slip a coin in a 2x2 into the young kids xmas cards hoping they will take an interest in coins. This year the coin will be the Wait for me daddy toonie.

My roommate also gave me a 2000w pl set today for xmas before he headed to the Alberta area to see his family.

I am the only coin collector I know...but my son does collect silver bars. He is 25 now but I took him to coin shows from the age of 8 on so he has a couple of areas of interest. My only coin gift was to my secret santa here. But I am getting some things together to mail for give aways at the FUN show in January to the youngsters so does that count?
Rest in Peace

One Christmas I handmade a bunch of purple velvet pouches, using gold thread and a gold drawstring. Inside, I placed a couple of BU gold dollars, a couple of BU SBAs, a couple of BU Kennedys, and a new $2 bill. I gave one each to five members of my family.

As I slowly upgrade the coins in my 7070 album, I put the original coins aside as future Christmas gifts for my son (especially the coins that are too expensive to buy on his own, since he's only 9 years old). Last year he got a Trade dollar. This year he's getting a rather worn, but still decent, 1847 Liberty Seated dollar. I'm also giving him a Series 1934A WWII North Africa Ten Dollar Emergency Note.

Im giving my 7 year old daughter six Isle of Mann 1 Crown coins featuring cats. I don't recall the years because it isn't important to her. The only thing that's important is that the coins feature cats.
