Man, finds like this need to happen more often. Nothing beats the rush of seeing all those 0's on a bill someone hands me at work. Not my lowest find (E 0000 0030 I would take that title) but nonetheless I'm extremely happy with it. Now it's being bid on, hoping to make a quick little return on all those fractional seconds I spend looking at every last bill that comes into/through my register! As a bonus, I also found an 1883 V nickel about a week later. Straight out of circulation, in very nice condition (I've never really graded coins, but looking at guides it's between F and VF). Good week! Edited by flappity 12/21/2014 12:11 am

Great find! What's the cutoff you all consider for it to be a "low dollar"? Is it anything under 100? Under 1000? I need to start checking my bills!

Nice find. Many consider <1000 a low serial number, but I personally consider <100 as a low serial number.

Super jealous...lowest I've ever found started with three zeroes. Maybe I need to get more notes from the bank...

Very nice. I consider anything under 100 a low serial.

Thanks guys :D Yeah, I had a dry spell for probably 6-8 months before this so hopefully this is the sign that my finds will start up again. I get so excited any time I find anything worth keeping, since it means I get to save something cool from getting further damaged by circulation.
As far as what I consider low, I keep 2 and 3 digit serials (0000 00xx and 0000 0xxx)... and obviously a 1 digit if I ever came across that. I'd probably have a heart attack though. I've never actually found a four digit, but I've found multiple threes and this is my second two digit ever.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I would probably keep anything starting with 4 or more zeroes just because it would look kind of cool. I need to start searching my bills more closely!

Someone at the BEP is not doing their job...lol. As I read somewhere, they are supposed to remove all notes from the packs that have 200 or less as the serial number. It is human error that this bill got into circulation.

Wow amazing. It's some of the first ones to be released for circulation very good.
