yes, mercury DDO set going off the ngc variety plus list not including over-dates need one more over-date that's separate in over-date set or DDR I have not yet looked for DDR's yet. I also have 12 clashed dies hoping to find one for every date I will start trying to get the varietyvista minor ones now like the 1928-d these are the dates in the set 1929-s 1931-d 1931-s 1935 1936 1937-s 1940-s 1941-d 1945

You have been fun to watch, John. 10 months ago you knew virtually zip about coins, and now you've just finished cherrypicking a variety set. Rock on.

thanks superdave, I still dont know as much as you guys...I still am struggling with Indian heads, some Counterfeit Detection with odd errors and without the photograde app I cant grade for beans... but its lots of fun I almost cherry picked the set but the 1931-s and the 1929-s where not cherry picked they where labeled but they where both picked up for under $25 each so I couldn't resist

Wow, what an accomplishment! Great job. The IHCs can be tough. There are very subtle differences in the type faces of the dates between years. This makes it hard for the brain to recall what a proper IHC date should look like. However, the date is often the easiest pick up point on a fake. My suggestion is to compare the date areas, and always check the back to see if it has the proper die type for the year - Shallow N or Bold N. I have started a Fakes! gallery at my website. Anyway, it is always fulfilling to achieve one of your numismatic goals. What now?! ;D
