Hello,
I am not the best at locating and attributing vams. However while I was listing some coins, I noticed the obverse of this coin has missing pieces of hair.

Any clue to which if any VAM this is? Rarity? Value?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

Check the second '8' for a possible overdate ... VAM 6. That missing hair is a diagnostic for that die pair.

The VAM 6 is a popular coin. In Uncirculated condition they are very pricey. On the lower end, not so much.

Also have a look at VAM-63 and 74.

I don't think it's V6; the spikes should be visible in these pics.

It has all the PUPs of the 6, with the exception of the spikes. However I can only see what you guys see. Does appear to have gunk that could be covering any spiking on that 8. Along with it having some heavy wear. Was a coin headed to ebay and only pictured it with low resolution, The coin is at my shop right now. I will go up later today to check it out. I don't collect vams and will likely be selling it as a normal morgan regardless of what it is attributed as, but enjoy learning as much as I can. I pass over top 100 vams often, Very often, this just stood out with so many missing devices in the hair.

Your pics here are good enough so at least the left spike should show, and I think it'll survive to this level of wear. It's the only VAM that will command interest in this grade. So that area and date doubling would be what you look for if you go after it.
