Hi all, I would be very grateful for help identifying this coin. I can not pinpoint it to any king. Thanks a lot, Vladimir (new member)

With soft mushy details, this appears to be a cast forgery.

Would agree with the judgement of 'Ancientnoob'. And From the inscription it would belong to Pantaleon (ΠANTAΛEONTOΣ), quite a difficult ruler to get coins from.

Thanks,
Actually, it looks well worn...more than intentionally mushy. Any idea about the king? I cannot discern the name?

The name of the king is Pantaleon, see my previous post.
But no, while it might want to give the impression of well worn it is a cast fake. Just look at the portrait, it would show more wear if the lettering would have been purely reduced by wear. Have to agree on one thing though: it is not intentionally mushy - the forgers would love to avoid that mushy appearance, which gives their poor workmanship away.

Without a doubt a cast fake.

Sorry, but I have to agree with the consensus. The combination of porous fields and mushy details are clear indicators this is a cast fake.

Hello Everyone,
I know this is an old post however I have the same coin. Now I understand it is most likely a fake, I would like to know a little more. My coin is very tarnished. Is it worth the effort to clean it? Would anyone know what type of metal fake casts are normally made of? Thank you for your time.

Hello and welcome to the community. You should start a new thread and post an image of your coin, this way we can say for sure if it's fake or not. Most fake cast coins are made from base metal and than silver plated or coated. There however are some fakes that are made from good metal also.
