"MINNESOTA RESIDENTS PLEASE NOTE: Due to state laws, we unfortunately cannot ship to customers in Minnesota. ALL orders to be shipped to Minnesota will be cancelled and refunded. Our apologies to the people of Minnesota."
"Offer not valid in MN."
Beginning to see a lot of disclaimers like this. What a disservice has been done to collectors there, who no longer can freely spend their money in the marketplace as they see fit, all in the name of "protecting" them.

What's happening in Minnesota? Is it finally time for them to be annexed to Canada?

That bill is literally the dumbest thing Ive ever read in my life. In high school I used to write bills for my youth in government group and the content in that bill stinks. There are alot of loop holes to that bill. But now I feel really bad for those people, I hope that numismatic organizations, groups and conventions boycott them

Yeah, we've been discussing this for months; there are already a couple of large threads extant.

When I read laws like that I am reminded of the state of the Ottoman empire just prior to World war 1.

I hate to say it but it looks like the United States is starting to look more and more like Germany during the world wars

SsuperDdave -
I brought this up again solely in the context of the (unintended?) consequences that are starting to kick in. I realize the merits (or lack of same) of the statute have been already commented on before here.

Y'all go ahead and keep this one on the front burner. Makes for more timely Google search results, keeping the issue in the public eye. Just keep it numismatic please.

I won't get political but check out Hilstrom on wikipedia. Has to be the dumbest looking person I've ever seen.

Is there any kind of numismatic group taking action against this?

Not really. You'd have to lobby a state legislature to rescind or modify a law, and I doubt there's a group willing to commit that kind of resources to one state. I'd like to be wrong, though.
