Personally, I'd spend them. But, someone here might have some other advice for you. I doubt there's much of a premium on anything there, though. Well, except for the cents that are pre-1959...they have some value.

For the most part I'd say the time it would take and the fees that you'd pay to sell on ebay would make it not worth selling them there. Depending on what foreign you have, they could have some value. If it's mostly modern circ stuff, you could try selling it in a lot. If you want to take the time to see if you've got any rare items, it might be worth it, but you might only end up with a headache.

I would sell them. I would maybe try to sell the SBAs on ebay, and the completed 1962-2007 nickel sets.

Hi,

You asked on my halfs and dollar coins, two dollar bills. Ever since I was an little kid growing up . I would buy them when I could find them from stores, banks etc. I saved them for over 20 years. I removed them from circulation and never spent them again. I would get them and put them away in my box of coins. I thought at time they were rare and would be worth lots money someday since they were hard to find and were never used in the usa.

I saved over 1700 dollars worth of halfs over the years. I saved all good stuff and sold over 1100 last monlth to my bank. My halfs I sent to bank was toned or something was wrong with them is why they were sold to bank. I kept all good ones out them. All the au or bu coins I kept out the intire 1700 dollars worth. They are all 1971 thru 2000 coins. I did fill up 3 1965 thru 1985 whitmans, saved all au, bu coins and built 230 worth of solid date rolls. I have lots loose years I cant build rolls out them since I am short on them. I think there is over 400 dollars face on 1971 thru 2000 au or bu coins not including the 3 whitmans I started to fill up. One or two them have missing coins in whitmans . I am going to buy me an dansco with room for proofs and try to build me keeper book where I can have one keeper set for my collection.

The rest of that stuff like nickels, bu coin rolls , coins from overseas. I bought lots rolls from banks to search for coins to build sets I wanted to keep. I have finished my dime book, nickel books, quarter books. Those are coins I found in fed boxes or tellers sold me bu rolls of coins when I needed old rolls to search. This year I may have bought and sold over 4000 dollars worth dimes, quarters, nickels, pennys to try search for coins to finish my sets. I lost track on how many fedboxs or bank rolls I went thru. I saved all the good stuff can person could build sets out them and all pre 1971 nickels

All my incomplete nickel or penny books. I bought them on ebay to cherry coins to build my keeper sets. Since I finished my keeper sets I dont have desire to finish all those incomplete sets. Some of them I cant finish from roll searching I tryed. I give up on them and its time to move on. I need money to buy 1932 thru 1964 silver quarters, silver dimes, or stuff like 1885 nickels, 1869 cent, 1872 cent to finish sets I want to keep.

You know what saying I need to dump all this modern stuff to raise money to finish my keeper sets. I just dont know the market on modern coins and bu rolls like they sell on ebay. I do know the profit margin is very small on stuff and dont want to let ebay get rich on me with there expensive fees.

Thanks for all your ideas and advice on weeding down my collection.

I would sift through all of them and keep the best 5 of each coin to keep. Take what no one on this site wants to the bank except for a few Ikes and SBAs they are neat to leave as tips at restaurants.
