I know these are horrible pics. I will update when coin arrives my only question is does anyone know of characterists for proof vs business on these coins. Thank you. I've been searching and cannot seem to find anything. Bought on ebay for $30 so it will most likely end up in the box of coins I have that are worth almost what I paid for them.

Start with the strike on the ears of corn on the reverse when you see the coin - very few Business Strikes define the left one well at all so that should be a strong start for you. Meanwhile, we'll for your images.

Almost looks like a polished fine from those pictures. I hope not for your sake. The luster looks like that of a business-strike coin.

No corn on left and coin much better than I expected. I think it could be proof
Rest in Peace

Business Strike. The corn and rims are proof - nowhere near enough definition for a Proof even if some of it is wear. Nice coin, but not a Proof strike.

It's a business strike. It doesn't show the details it should. The 1883 N/C proofs were very well struck that year.

Added note: This coin has the common Reverse Style B, not the Rev. Style A (rare).
