Common, yes, but I just love the look of this 1938-S Lincoln Cent. Would love to know thoughts on a grade. Thank you!

Seems to have the tiniest amount of wear on the high points of the right hand wheat stalk, and perhaps Abe's hair and beard. That wear happened soon after the coin was put into circualtion, and has log since patinated over. The very nice and even patination makes any tiny scratches on the coin difficult to see.

The first grade that came to my mind was AU58.

Yes, the hair looks a little weak, faint dirt ? on obv. left bottom. AU-58+ ( nice wheatie )
