I came across a bunch of silver coins and this was one of them. I looked up errors in my Whitman Red Book and didn't see this in there then I researched online and still nothing. Is it possible that this is an unknown error? When I look at the reverse the hole goes all the way through. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Looks like PMD to me. Better pics might help.

Welcome to Coin Community, Paynester. Your own description confirms that this is postmint damage ( PMD) - there's nothing at the Mint/striking process capable of putting a hole through a coin. This one has circulated since its' accident, which softens the features and makes it look more like an "error."

It is completely hollow inside the hole and goes completely through to the front. The front as excess metal that appears to be melted as shown in the original picture and the exit hole has cracking around it. I tried taking more pictures but they are not coming out clear.

As mentioned above, unfortunately for you, it's PMD
