I've looked at a few others and some have it, most don't. Maybe it's just machine-doubling, but it sure looks like the guy who punched the letters into a master die got a little "heavy handed". Bryan1315 Bedrock of the Community United States 14454 Posts	Posted 09/15/2007 9:41 pm First of all Every Morgan is a VAM even if it is a VAM-1 (normal coin made with normal dies) and I really don't see any split serifs or anything on your coin so I am thinking what you are actually seeing would be considered Machine Doubling or die fatigue or something that happens with normal dies here is an example of a VAM-70 with doubling and as you can see the split serifs very clearly Edited by Bryan1315 09/15/2007 9:45 pm Report this Post to the Staff
