Those images are OK. The roughness is making me think something was struck over the rim of the coin. Especially with the peeling near the date area. Not a premium coin, but interesting. Looks like it may continue again at about 4:00-6:00?

Coop, the layer Tha is on the edge wraps upward all the way to just past the "I" of IN. With chipping here and there, just like shown in the pictures you saw. Downward, the coin looks normal, a little rough maybe like it could have possibly peeled off already.
