Since 2013 I have been searching dime boxes like on steroids. I found a bank which had many branches with machines that were perfect for dimes (of course good for other denoms too). The machine holds 2 dime bags with $1000 per bag. I usually dump $1000 per machine without bothering the teller for a bag change. I can go through 5-8 branches on Saturday for one trip. The counting is almost always dead on. I do lose money on foreign coins, such as Canadian, Bermuda, British pence and lose money on gas.

TD bank's machines are not good for dimes. They tend to count dime as penny and for $500 you can lose a few dollars easily if not dozen's of dollars.

Without this machine, I won't do dime boxes at all.

2013 Stats:

Total box searched: 665
Total silver recovered: 911 (1.37 per box)
Barber dime: 2 (1912D, 1912S)
Mercury dimes: 100
Rosie dime: 747
Canadian silver dime: 62

S-mint proof: 8

2014 Stats:

Total box searched: 496
Total silver recovered: 574 (1.16 per box)
Barber dime: 1 (1909)
Mercury dimes: 46
Rosie dime: 512
Canadian silver dime: 14
Switzerland silver dime: 1 (1929 1/2 Franc)
S-mint proof: 11
