Wanted to know if one of these is a high 9 and one is a low 9? Looks to me like one is high...Thanks!
EDIT: I'm having trouble identifying it!

it is a very normal 9. Nothing else.
I am not aware of a low 9, just a normal and a high 9.
However, it appears there are different "heights" of the high 9.

It's a low 9.
A high 9 has its "tail" level with the base of the 2 beside it.

Those 9s are as normal as they get.

AMnight - keep on looking as many dealers even miss this variety. There are from my experience two levels of high 9s as well. One level with the base of the 2 and the other slightly higher and there is no doubt of it being a high 9. I would call them 1)high 9 and 2)very high 9.

JeyRey
totally agree with u!
can someone please explain the term " LOW nine?"
If there is a low 9 and a high 9 there has to be a normal (zero level) 9, as the high and the low term have to have a neutral location to determine high and low.
I am not aware of a low 9.

I think the term low 9 has taken place of the "normal 9" the highest percentage of 1929s look like the ones above thus becoming the norm. the other 2 varieties becoming less numberous and the higher value of the two types.

so there really is no Low 9 per say! Even the charlton states 1929 and 1929 high 9, no mention of normal.

These two pictures are why I thought one might be high and one might be low...
