I would take a look at Nancy's other cents for sale, they all seem to have the same color to them. It could be her camera and these all were put into the same album and toned the same. I almost bid on some of her stuff.

Well, I took a chance and bought this coin. I'll post some of my pics when I get it in hand. I'm also taking it to the guy at my local shop to inspect....he has a good eye.

The cents she has up for sale are beautiful, all MS 63-65, the only thing that scared me a little was the color. Like I said it may be her camera, I would put it in my album, I think it is a great looking cent!

I agree with recolored. It might be cleaned, but either way, the color is not right.

Coin looks fantastic to me, I don't see anything wrong with it. Of course, that's just me.

Oh dear....what the heck is "Nic a tone cent"? That stuff scares me! I'd like to know the chemical composition. If that junk was used on this coin I'm going to be mad. I'm going to put this coin in some methylene chloride as soon as I get it.

Not a good idea. Wait until you get the coin. As so many have noted it may just be the photos that have that strange tone or even in an invironment that does the odd coloring. As it stands, that is a nice coin. I wouldn't play around with it with any chemicals. If those were treated, you could create a futher reaction. Best let it stand as is.
