Tomorrow is going to be my first time crh halves. I'm only doing about $100, but I was wondering what to look out for. I know to keep 64's-69's (silver), NIFCs (2001-2004, 2006-2013), proofs, and BUs. Should I keep "s" mintmarks? Also, what errors should I be looking out for?

As far as keeping the NIFC's, impaired clad proof and BU's, I feel that's an emotional decision, there's not much value over face, so I don't keep any of those.

Many DDO and DDR varieties clad 1971D - 1977D.
I'm not one to hunt for die varieties.

I used to keep 1987 P and D, also NIFC low mint

1982 no FG

2001 isn't NIFC. I thought so too, but jbuck I think corrected me. They were business trikes, or supposed to be NIFC, but got released en masse. 2002 are definitely NIFC.

S mintmark are proofs... 1976 S could be clad or silver. I haven't found one of them yet myself.

Don't forget to keep anything older than 1964, because those also are silver like Franklins and Walkers. or you could get really lucky and find a Barber.. but then I would be crying for a week....cause that would be beginners luck for sure and amazing!
