The first one has plenty of problems but it might be possible it's something special since it's coming from a large collection, where it is one of only a few that aren't Unc or AU. Sap Moderator Australia 16832 Posts	Posted 01/10/2015 03:53 am The first one has a design that imitates Ottoman coins, but it is actually a coin from Mahdist Sudan. 20 piastres is the denomination, "1312" is the actual date of issue, which converts to AD 1894. I believe it is a 1000 Dinar: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces29129.html But the denomination is below the lion and based off the size, and my opinion could change with better pictures, weight and measurements of the coin.
