Hi Stevo, First I'm really bad at grading ok. But I'm thinking gEF for that one. Star and feathers on the reverse, (reverse has most wear to my eyes) and the orb on the crown. Is still a really nice coin to have in the collection. Peter

There's little to no wear on the coin, I'd say AU58 or MS63 and an exceptional coin at that.

I see what Peter sees re star and feathers, also 'RA' in the ribbon, but there is no wear on the rest of the coin, which draws me to the idea of a light strike. The centre of the star and the emu feathers are high points of the design, and perhaps the metal has not quite filled the die at those points.
The grass is well struck and sharp. Head detail on the emu and kangaroo is reasonably sharp. Those points or areas are not quite so high above the field.
The bust detail is not really sharp. I suspect this could be the product of a reasonably worn die and / or light strike; there does not seem to be any wear in this part of the coin.
Rims excellent, except for one small dent. Very few minor nicks and dents elsewhere.
Easy pictures to grade from.
MS63.

It's still a nice coin in hand with plenty of lustre

It would be great to get an MS grade but I think the AU58 is more in play with this one. Regardless a beautiful coin

Its well struck for a 23 and worth a premium. I have a 58 and yours is way better. I'll go 62.

Wow, the first picture is so much better than the second ! Could be anywhere from AU58 - MS63, so hard to tell from photos. Are the original surfaces intact?
From the first photo I would agree with sel691 and say MS63 (Unc), but the second photo.....hmmm

The first photos are from the seller and it looks much better and the second lot of photos are mine which show the coin warts and all.It has a reasonable amount of lustre so may just scrape in MS62 if I'm lucky

The middle of "Australia" (especially the "R") is indistinct, which I think will be the sticking point for obtaining an MS grade. AU58 as a floor for sure. Great coin no matter how it grades.
