This 1926-D is graded MS-61 by NGC. Is the reverse simply due to a weak strike, a very worn die, Struck Through Grease or what?

I have a similarly struck coin, a 1920-D.

I came across another example, a 1925-S. Both sides are very weakly struck.

EDWEATHER-- Why would you bid on that 26-d very weak strike ? I just bought a 26-d in EF-45 full strike
at a local coin show that would blow that MS-61 out of the water, for a lot less money than it went for.

Due to over-used, worn dies, quite typical of the 20's branch mints.
