Good set! I haven't seen any of the Journey series notes printed in 2011 in circulation. Bonus that the HAL changeover seems to be in decent shape.

The Macklem Carney HAE's are very rare - Jenkins Carney HAE's are not
The Maclem Carney series of $5 only had 7 prefixes available HAE, HAF, HAG, HAH, HAJ, HAK and HAL. The series was discontinued when Mr Carney took a job with the Bank of England.
The polymer $5 only has 1 prefix with this signature set, HBG and is also highly desired

Some info available in Charlton's Canadian Gov't Paper Money 2015, expect there will be more pricing info on these in the 2016 version later this summer - other than that, google and other forums :)

Hello I have been looking for one of these MC 5$ polymers and today from the local casino I scored this bill for face value. It is crisp uncirculated s/n HBG2229969.

Quote:Thanks and it's Luc V - Luc is good... NO didn't get it at face bought it on ebay from a guy that seems to have found multiples possibly a bundle - he still has the lowest price on ebay and I managed to get mine before he raised his price There are a few showing up here and there. Still pretty tough to find. I had 9 crisp gem unc sequential pieces and am now down to 5 left. Unfortunately I didn't get to buy mine at face! I've got them on sale this weekend for anyone who is interested, and lower than the above listing + free tracked shipping :) Link to my ebay is in my signature.

Nice find! I posted on the circulation finds thread about a Macklem/Carney $5 I got yesterday. It is probably an EF at best so getting an UNC bill AT FACE is AWESOME! I thought they were not supposed to be circulated or something hence the rarity. Now I see several sequentials on ebay. Perhaps more were somehow released?

For the last two months when I have chips to cash at the casino I ask for 100$ in fives hoping to find one of these and it worked. The cashiers will usualy give you new bills if you ask and it has also been a good source of radars too. You just have to win at the tables first. Shoeplier I did see your post on your find earlier, I guess we just have to keep lookin , they are out there.
