I am interested in others' experiences in completing their Dansco 7070 US Type set.
I propose this thread be used by anyone who wants to post their stats as they work towards completion. It should be interesting to say the least!
To make things coherent, let's set some standards for format. Please use the following format:
Date Album Purchased: MM/DD/YYYY Silver / Clad Progress: XX/XX Gold Progress: XX/XX (or N/A if you are not doing a gold page) Total Spent to Date:$X,XXX.XX Favorite Coin in Album: (Must be owned currently and inside the album)

What about price paid for album? I'm hoping to start a 7070 soon, but having tough time pulling trigger to buy at current prices, might go intercept album route but then I wouldn't be part of 7070 club.

The price of my album is included in the total above. You are more than welcome to post your progress regardless of storage medium (Dansco, Whitman, Intercept Shield, PCGS Registry, etc.)

I have Intercept album and I love it, as it is already updated with new coins. But since it is not 7070 I guess, I can't post my progress in here Edit: Posted at the same time as you Matt, so I guess I'm allowed to post my progress . I will post my progress when I get back home, probably on friday.

I am using the 7070 identified coins for my collection of PCGS slabs. 76/76 No gold page yet...but always upgrading I'd rather not say how much I have into it...I might cry. My favorite coin changes frequently depending upon upgrades.

I would love to participate...but even tho I have kept a list of every coin I have bought and how much I have spent on each coin I am afraid to add it up for a subtotal...so I will just follow this thread for a while. I bought this coin at the FUN show last weekend. I figured since it was going to be the first coin in the book I wanted it to be "nice"...well "nice" in my book anyway. Maybe later I will get brave enough to add up my $'s

Alright, chickens . Don't put your amount spent to date if you don't want to.

I don't even remember when I got my 7070, LoL, much less the other stats. I like the idea though, so I am going to figure out my stats today... Probably much lower than everyone else. I collect on a budget, having too many other obligations in life, so most of my coins are less than $100 each, and I am trying to do nicer coins. So you can imagine it's mostly low denominations and modern.
The last coin I bought for the album was a SLQ that I paid almost $500 for, and now I have chickened out of putting it in the album! I have a feeling that is going to be the story of my 7070 as the coins get more and more spendy.

Date Album Purchased: 11/22/14 Silver / Clad Progress: 16/76 Gold Progress:N/A Total Spent to Date: Less than $100, including album Favorite Coin in Album: The one(s) my son excitedly contributed from his piggy bank.
I'm just starting, and my goal is a nice circulation set, as problem-free as possible. Still have a few coins laying around to put in. Hard to find time to work on it.
