Hi guys Can you give me your opinions on this 1921 penny. I think this has been struck on an old coin. There are letters and numbers everywhere. Just a shame that I cannot make any sense of them. The O in ONE has small letters inside with a stop at the end O of COM has an E under and the U in AUS has an N under. Its pretty much the same both sides. Any Ideas?

Hmmm....I can see something under the 9, but can't be sure what it is, however, what I can see is the initials KG after the H, and as these are the initials of a later designer who didn't start designing Australian coins until 1938, makes me believe that this coin is a fake.

I'm just wondering if the pic with the KG in it was put in by mistake due to its shine? And I cant see the KG in the other photo of the full reverse. Determing a fake is not my territory it was just my opinion based on first look and Nevols comment.
edit I just noticed that the pic is for sure not of this coin and was there by mistake. Clue - No denticles in pic

Apparently a Chinese factory is turning them out with random dates, why,i don't know.I found a 1933 in a bulk buy,the two 3's sit too low and the planchett is too thin but otherwise a very accurate copy with great colour,in a batch of Pennies you'll never pick it unless you have the coin in hand. There is a Thread on the 1933 Coin on the Aust. Coin Forum with photo's for anyone interested.
